FR Motor and VESC 75/300 without any power

I bought the battery in china. Especcialy for efoiling. The celltype is LG, best quality… :lying_face:
They said permanent 90A and max. 190A is installed in BMS
I just gave the battery to a specialist for testing. Next week more informations…

Like Alexandre said, it could be either the battery or a bad connection with the connectors! Hopefully for you it is a bad connection! I would check those very carefully while the battery is at the shop, I fried a 80100 motor because of a partially disconnected phase wire!

Just out of curiosity, what are the battery specs and how much did you pay for it?

I bought two of them…, cause I thought 1 hour riding is too less :innocent:
I payed 1.200,.€ for both of them with two Charger 20A.
That is a good price, but if They don’t work, it’s a little bit too expensive… I think.
Next week I will know it

What cells, nominal voltage, AH does the pack have?

600€ is a real good price , 13s14P made of Samsung 30q it is already at least 500€ just for cells …

Another way to test would be to put your two battery in // to see in a pool test if you can get more amp out ( close to the vesc setting )

I only know 48V 40Ah 12S 90Ah constant, 190Ah max., and LG cells

yes, 52V is okay, but the invoyce said 48V. The charger is 48V, but it makes 54V.
I really don`t know. 13x4,2V=54,6

Yes and 48v /13=3.7v nominal so that is correct

so it is 12 or 13S ? :flushed:

2 numbers used : nominal 3,6-3,7 and full charged 4,2v
So you have 13s , 54,6v full charged , and charger are tag 48v …

Yesterday I tried the new configuration. Yes, it worked!!
I don`t know the mistake, but it worked. I am 80kg, my board is 30kg with a big battery inside.
May be the mistake is to stand up too early. The board is 1,40m and I press the board into the water. Yesterday I was laying on the board for a longer time, standing up when the board is faster. That worked. At the end it becomes easyer with every start.

New configuration , mine ?

Yes standing fast on short board and to far on the back , will demand to much torque on the motor

My problem : motor was getting « stuck » at high amp 90A low duty low rpm , max setting regulation motor amp was activated and I didn’t go in plane speed

With 120A a bit longer on the front , start was easier and I have a 2.30m board …

With my first geared motor , I just jump on the board , I fly away but with a pic at start of 250A on 8s lipo so about 8000-9000w for a crazy start on my long board …

I checked my configuration with yours. At the end I changed nothing.
I made a protokoll, may be someone can interpret the logfiles. Where are the limiting values?
How can I get 8000W ? How can I get faster?
