Flying Fish Jet Drive Build

@perth

It is not the jetdrive yet. I wanted to test with the propeller/duct drive first. I am going to assemble the and test the battery pack then. I assume my ride time and efficiency will be less and more noisy.

At the moment I am enjoying my music while I ride :grinning:

@Vincentbraillard

I also like your vent valve you are using. Where can I buy one?

Are you in the States? I can ship one to you. The vent.

@egentech

Hi! I am in washington state. And that would be very generous of you!

@Vincentbraillard. Thank you for the link.

I hope this will help vent the heat from my battery pack.

Hi @V_S

I did some paper trail research and I found out that my cells are 21700 and rated at 5000mah.

That makes sense.
But i guess 5AH only in paper. Usually they have 3-4AH (21700)

Hi Mauiman,
You will share files of 3d printed files of this jet drive set up?
Thanks
Giacomo

Yes eventually after I get it working.

We recently had a baby so jetdrive is slow progress.

Wishes for your child, but the jet child is growing?

Thanks! yes, the jet child is still growing. I had to design a new motor mount because the previous one was too short for my shaft coupler and sealed bearing so I decided to move the coupler to the outside of the motor mount.

Nice video, which drone is that? But you are not using your jetdrive, correct?

I am using the Airdog. But the lowest it can fly is 5M. I have to use the mavic if I want a low flying water shot.

Correct, no jet drive yet. Waiting for a free weekend to assemble the new motormount.

Excited to see how it runs in the water!

Would you share your impeller as .stp file? I downloaded already the .stl file. I want to try your impeller in my propulsion, but i need to make a modification for the mounting screw. Fusion 360 can not convert the stl :frowning:

Sure! I will convert when I get back in town.

Finally got the jetdrive assembled. Still waiting on the maytech v2.
