Does your bluetooth connection to the in built ble work?
I don`t know. I never tried it…
I have to make the first installation in the next days. But I don`t have the remote yet
You should try if your android vesc tool can connect. Because I read that there are more people (including me) have problems with the inbuilt ble.

Yes you only need to power the vesc on one of the three supply cable pairs.
