VESC with folding prop. Motor won't start back up untill very slow speed

Hi guys.

I went e-foiling this morning and the problem is fixed! Thx for all your help.

I’m guessing the problem was the motor was slowly spinning backwards when the prop was folded. Thx for all the ideas to try @jakebarnhill1 @Alexandre @Giga. Jake, you are the trouble shooting winner for the prop spinning backwards idea! :sunglasses::+1:

I changed the motor settings so the motor brakes when I let go of the trigger. And I maxed out the start up boost. Now it starts up everytime. Now I can up my surfing game! :blush::beers:

Good work man, looks like you can go with the motor off for a fair while! Now see how long you can get out of a charge doing that :+1:

I’m experiencing similar needs to get to the micro USB port, without opening the enclosure. Where the TCP bridge stuff sounds like a good solution, I think hard wired is better for long-term:
