New Direct Drive Inrunner 65150

They have good reviews overall on the Alibaba site.

Anyone try their controllers?

Have you received your 65150 Direct Drive Inrunner and tested it ?

Maytech is in the game:

what do you guys think about 9nm Torque and 195Kv?

At $600 for one it’s pretty expensive to experiment and see if it might work. I think it would be in maytechs best interest to send out a test unit to one or two people so that they can review it. If it works well then they will have buyers.
The 192kv is on the high side but may still work.

Compatible with Reacher Tech figures seen above

@Eileen, what do you think ?

Some customers pre-ordered motors and I will update news when they receive and finish test.
195KV is standard KV. Other KV can be customized.

Hi Eileen. I have some big interess on you product but with 130kv. Any more info like torque and price for one piece to try please? Yould be the same torque with 130KV? how many pole?

The first 65165 motor Maytech advertised on Alibaba was the same motor as reacher tech.

I think Maytech have their motors made by reacher tech so you could probably use reacher techs motor specs as a good guide. But why buy maytechs motor for $US600 when you can get one from reacher tech for $US410.

I hope someone tests one soon.

Thanks Eileen. This first set of data is a bit disappointing.
I am not a motor specialist but the flattering 9N.m is usually given at max rpm (16380= 195x84) and max voltage (20s 84V).
So I don’t know what to expect at half this voltage value since our voltage working range is 12 to 14s (44V to 52V nominal). So it is very unlikely that we can reach the required minimum torque for a efoil use with this 195KV motor as a direct drive = W I T H O U T _ _ G E A R

So, I’m looking forward to your 160, 130 and 100KV data as the max torque increases with the KV going down…

Johnny Motor D83-200 D83-170 D65L150-100 D65L150-80
KV 200 170 100 80
Max Torque 105kg*cm 115kg*cm 115kg*cm 120kg*cm
Max Torque (N*m) 10.5 11,5 11,5 12

If use 195KV for efoil, it will need to use gearbox to lower RPM and increase torque.
Later if I get other KVs test data, I will update here.

@SoEFoil

I did receive the motor. It is very well assembled. I just have not had a chance to mount it yet. I have been busy with my battery pack.

Here is a video, but my esc was configured for a different motor.

Very exciting moment :crossed_fingers:
How much did you pay for this Reacher Tech D65L150-100 therefore 100KV 6KW motor ?
What will be your working voltage and your ESC ? Any data logger ?

That looks very nice indeed! Very interested to see if it works or not. Maytech is definitely getting their motors from reacher but not at the right KV for efoil which I find quite bizarre…

If that unit works well reacher are going to get a host of orders!

So the motor you are selling and advertising as a hydrofoil motor…that has a machined drive shaft to attach a prop…needs a gearbox. ???

It still amazes me that anybody deals with maytech.

I think it is the second time here that Maytech is learning while manufacturing. Then I am not sure Eileen is an Engineer. Let’s give her a chance to come up with nice figures for 130 and 100 KV motors. It is always better to have two motor sources than one hoping that MAYTECH is not just a reseller.

She’s not an engineer as I’ve asked her questions and she had to go back and ask an engineer. I think this conversation is much more constructive when we say “efoils need 100kv, no gearbox, can you make that happen?” rather than shitting on the vendors. Based on @MauiMan post they do make a 100kv looking at the picture. I doubt that uses a gearbox.

the best way is testing…

May I ask if you"re fully satisfied with your direct drive motor ?
Por cierto, ¿qué KV y qué marca es?
