A prop like the FR prop will give you the highest efficiency. But a super-cavitating prop (like a cleaver prop) will get you the best speed. There’s always a price to pay with speed vs efficiency. Most here will want to strike a balance between the two… So far the FR prop has given decent enough results for a balanced mode.
To test props you need a decent milling machine so that you can cut them from aluminium and a test rig that supplies a constant voltage. Designing the prop is the easy bit…
