Hey guys, total noob here. My father has shaped surfboards my whole life and we have just recently started looking into making an efoils. As far as the board goes I think we could make one pretty ok but I’m totally lost as far as the electronics go. Can anyone give me a list of stuff I would need? Motor, batteries, esc…etc… Thanks so much!

On your question: you need to decide on a design concept first. This comes down mostly to the kind of propulsion unit, direct or geared drive, wet or dry pod.
The most popular design is a dry pod geared drive by pacificmeister, you can find lots of documentation and also a list of materials here.
Another cool design I am personally after is this wet direct drive. It is much simpler.
