Anyone using anything like this as a basis for an efoil.

That board is very thin, with the added weight, i’m not even sure it will float.
And even if it floats, you’ll need extra power to get going: when you’ll get on it, it will sink significantly, so a lot of power will be needed to bring it to plane.

I burnt a power meter trying to get it just to plane.

I think the one guy that used a Naish board didn’t have much volume in the board. You definitely wont do a standing start but with the correct weight distribution I don’t see why it wouldn’t be possible to use a low volume board. Guys paddle 4ft low volume boards into surf and that using a lot less power than a motor setup would give you.
